Eventscripts

• Core Contributor 2007-Present

  

  Eventscripts is a Valve Source server plugin, a platform used on thousands of servers worldwide for writing addons and modifications for Valve's online source games. My role involved contributing core libraries, and reviewing code for inclusion with the plugin.

• ES Shell Python

  

  My biggest contribution to eventscripts has been the reimplementation of its original shell language, in python. This taught me a great deal about language design and implementation, particularly with regard to interpreted shell languages, the limits of optimisation, and the difficulties of backwards compatibility.

ED Admin Plugin

  I wrote, documented and provided support for a server admin plugin for EnemyDown UK, which was used by hundreds of clans across the ED league daily for league and ladder matches.

• Installer

  

  I also provided an ftp installer for the plugin built using IronPython, which allowed the user to fully customise the configuration of the addon before uploading it to their server.

  A js userscript to filter posts by domain on reddit.com

• Jabberwacky Pidgin Bot

  

  An autoresponder for pidgin on linux, utilising the Jabberwacky chat bot
